Doula
A guide through birth

Experience the comfort of a helping hand before, during, and after the birth of your child.

A doula or labor companion is an assistant who provides non-medical support during pregnancy. Depending on their particular training, a doula may assist with pre-natal care, during labor, post-partum, or a combination of the three. A doula may be present for a home birth, or accompany the mother to the hospital. Doulas provide physical and emotional support to the mother and are an important source of information concerning the birthing process. They may also serve as liaisons between the family and the medical support staff at home, the birthing center, or the hospital.

Liza uses her massage therapy and positioning techniques to soothe the mother during labor for a more relaxed, comfortable birthing experience.
